Ohio Diversity Council Honors Exceptional Leaders at the Inaugural LGBT Roundtable and Awards
Toledo, OH – – On June 9, 2016, the Ohio Diversity Council, in partnership with Fifth Third Bank, will host the Inaugural LGBT Roundtable and Awards in Fifth Third Center at One SeaGate from 8:00a.m. – 11:30a.m. This event presents resources and information to elevate the conversation regarding workplace equality. Participants will also have the opportunity to share best practices in order to advance LGBT policies within their own organizations. In addition to sharing useful information, this event will also reward LGBT advocates and leaders for their unwavering commitment to equality. The theme of this year’s roundtable is “Breaking Barriers: Moving from Awareness to Advocacy.
“The LGBT Roundtable is an amazing event that highlights the importance of workplace equality and recognizes the dedicated individuals that work hard to make inclusion possible,” said Dennis Kennedy, Founder & Chair of the National Diversity Council. “We are proud to honor these leaders who continue to break barriers and achieve great success in the face of adversity.”
The roundtable will open with registration, breakfast, and networking from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. After a brief welcome from one of our featured speakers, a select group of attendees will be recognized with the LGBT Leadership Award. The LGBT Leadership Award is reserved for individuals that serve as role models within the LGBT community and strive to promote inclusiveness within the workplace. Following the presentation of awards, attendees and panelist will participate in a collaborative discussion regarding workplace equality. Attendees will also have the opportunity to share their thoughts in an informative question and answer session.
